****How the Wirgau Family ties in: After the death of her first husband, Olga Rempel married Frank Wirgau In 1941. Frank Wirgau was a widower, and father of 7 children (Tillie, Mike, Isabella, Emma, Louis, Margaret (Marg) and Ella... step-siblings to my grandmother, Mary Rempel). Together with Olga's 5 children (Benjamin (Ben), Josef (Joe), Marja (Mary), Joann (Ann) and Fred), this made 12 children in the home at one time. Frank and Olga then had 4 more children together (Betty, Judy, Harold, Richard) making them half-siblings to my grandmother and therefore related to me. Most of the Wirgau family still resides in Manitoba, around Winnipeg and Steinbach. Marg Wirgau (my grandmother's step-sister) and her husband Henry Klymchuck reside in Burnaby, BC.
