My name is Sheila Louise
(Hilsabeck) Wright. Sheila (Sile in Irish) means "Musical" or "lover of music",
and I think that it is VERY appropriate for me...
...Louise means "Battle Woman", but that is
another story... :)
My grandfather, Clifford Wright, was
adopted by his step-dad, Vern Wright, when he was 4 years old and
Clifford's name was changed to Wright, though not legally, thus our
last name SHOULD be Hilsabeck.

...I completed
my Diploma of Fine Arts from Kwantlen University College in 2002, became a
member of the BC Institute of Film Professionals and the film union,
IATSE Local #891, and am making a career in set design and scenic
painting for Film, TV & Theatre.... although I've been looking
into Matte Painting as a career too, as that would combine painting,
set painting, and computers...

...For nearly a year I was at home recovering from a car accident
(Dec. 30, 2004)... my poor little Peanut got
squashed and so did I... STUPID DRIVERS... which was a lot longer than I expected to be recovering. I'm still recovering 3.5 years later
Unfortunately I will likely not be able
to go back to scenic painting in the near future, or perhaps ever, thanks to broken body parts which will never heal properly.
Currently, I work for FM Global as Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. |

... I recently moved into a SMALL apartment in New Westminster, which so far I am loving as it is an improvement on my last place which had no kitchen or bedroom (but a GREAT garden)
My Mom (who works for the B.C. Gov't)
lives in Abbotsford, BC, and Dad lives in Edmonton, AB...
...I am not married, have no kids and no siblings (unless you count
5 wicked step-sisters and 3 equally wicked step-mothers), but I have a lot of great friends, particularly
the fantastic people I play with in the band/s at church (we just
finished recording a CD not
long ago) and
the members of the House Of Mirth and my SCA friends of course... |
| I SING (it is my main
instrument - studied Opera and Elizabethan vocal music),
play bass
guitar, piano/keys, flute (though I hate it), recorders, Bodhran,
pennywhistle, and some other percussion. I also like
writing and arranging music as well... My Dad is
also a musician also (so I guess it is all his fault). |

keeps me
relatively sane... (I did say "relatively")... |

musical theatre and light opera (still waiting for the big ones:),
studied voice with Ingrid Suderman and Les Neufeld, and have won numerous vocal
competitions in Canada and the US. My favourite role was as Mary in
"Two From Galilee"

group.

| ...I love Sushi, Bread
of all kinds (particularly home-made and "bird-seed" bread), Caesar
salad, seafood, Greek food, and popcorn... I don't like spicy food
much (or rather it doesn't like me much)...
...I like painting, reading, writing, movies, red lipstick, push-up bras, going for coffee with friends, thunderstorms, walking the sea-wall during sunset,
traveling (NYC ROCKS), badminton, Gelato by the sea,
listening to good music, British sitcoms on TV and fresh clean sheets on the bed...
...I
am very VERY allergic to cats and hay... ACHOO!!...
...I hate stupid drivers, fog, getting a cold, cocky &
controlling people, dull razors, dishonesty, people who don't know
how to PLAY sometimes, and bad hair days!!
